- You must have at least an honours degree, or equivalent, in a subject other than computer science - this course is not intended for CS or IS graduates. Note that your prior degree need not be in a scientific discipline. Students with more than one year of computer science education will have their applications reviewed on an individual basis. We will also consider applicants whose degrees/credits in CS/IS are no longer current - this will be assessed stricly on a case-by-case basis.
- You will need access to a computer and Internet connection.
- You will need to be able to attend UCT at the end of each semester for examination purposes. This is not a distance education course and will not be administered as such.
- You will need to be able to commit to two years study.
Please consult the University Fees Handbook website for the comprehensive and up to date information
To enroll in this course, you must first apply for admission. More details on how to apply, as well as the forms that must be filled out and submitted, can be found on the Postgraduate Student website.
Applications are now being accepted for 2014!
Applications close as at the 30 September 2013.
If, and when, you are accepted into the programme, you will then need to register as a student. Please make a careful note of your student number and password at that stage, as you will need to know this if and when you subsequently register for the degree. After you are notified of acceptance, the department will contact you in January with information on how to obtain your registration forms.
